Ok, so I warned you from the jump off that I was going to be keeping it real and one of the great things my “singleness” has provided for me is resourcefulness and resiliency.
Over the course of my almost two years without a ring on it; I’ve sold a house, packed a house, had flat tires, bought a house, had a broken sewer line, and clogged gutters. I can lift a box, swing a hammer and climb a ladder better than most but there are certain situations where life needs a man and I’m going to break them down for you.
MR. FIX IT, DUH. This guy will be the most important, and ladies you won’t need to go to bed with him in order for him to look at your leaky faucet or hang your new ceiling fan. Take a break from swiping left and swiping right ladies and do some research; find yourself a Handyman, he is #1 in a divorced woman’s life.
Another great guy to keep around is your “Work Husband.” We all have one and it doesn’t matter if he is hot or not because he is your “friend zone.” This guy will be the guy you rely on when your super hot and emotionally unavailable date from the weekend ghosts you and it’s Monday with no call. This is the guy that will keep you sane, keep him close.
And last but not least, ladies listen closely because this one is just as important; while you are out there being BADASS independent woman get yourself a “friend with benefits” because let’s be honest, we all have needs that can only be met with testosterone from time to time.
